Did You See?
From the Arizona Daily Star Letters to the Editor on January 26, 2015 the following:
...Programs like Opening Minds through the Arts should be in all schools. OMA gives the training in music, art and dance that enables the brain to learn. If all schools were well-staffed with smaller classes, there would not be a need for charter schools.

PARTNERS ARE BRINGING MUSIC TO THE STREETS!

To kick-start the Piano Project, Pima County School Superintendent's Office

will partner with the Tucson Unified School District's (TUSD) Fine Arts Department and

Opening Minds through the Arts (OMA) to showcase the importance of music education.

The hope is to unite the community over the celebration of all types of music including including original

composition that will ignite a musical passion within our youth while celebrating the fantastic characteristics

that Tucson has to offer: its creative community.  It does not matter if you know how to read music or not.

The Piano Project is providing a fun and creative outlet.

"Events like these allow for the schools to come up with innovative ways to connect with the community and

get students involved in hands-on learning," said Pima County School Superintendent, Dustin Williams.
