  • First Five Years: Presented by Arizona‚Äôs Children Association

    This 4-session series will help nurture your child with a "just right combination" of freedom and positive discipline. Learn about your child's development and growing brain, preventing tantrums and other problems, and using mindfulness to keep calm. You will also learn 6 ways to prepare your child for school success. Participants will receive class materials and gifts for attending!

  • Nutrition Workshop: Presented by The U of A Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program

    This class focuses on the USDA MyPlate nutrition guide. Participants will learn the importance of food safety, reading & comparing food labels, menu planning, and food budgeting.

  • Cooking Healthy: Presented by The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona

    Parent volunteers will demonstrate how to cook nutritious meals using ingredients from the Family Resource Centers food pantry. Participants will also learn how to make easy low-cost meals. Please click on the link to register.

    Programa Paternidad Activa es una programa gratis de seis semanas que se centrará en brindar a los padres las herramientas que necesitan para comunicarse mejor con los sus hijos.

    This is a 6-week workshop that will focus on giving parents and guardians the tools they need to better communicate with their children.

  • Active Parenting: Presented by Child & Family Resources
    This free six-week program will focus on giving parents/guardians the tools they need to better communicate with their children. We will dive into brain development and how it affects children’s behavior.   • English Language Acquisition for Adults (ELAA): Presented by Literacy Connects

    This class is offered to any adult with a desire to learn and improve their English. Students may choose from beginning, high beginning, intermediate, and advanced classes. Sign up by January 11.

  • GED Preparation Class: Presented by Literacy Connects

    Prepare for your GED by improving your reading, writing, math, and thinking skills. These classes will be taught in English. Ages 21 and over.

Talk It Out

Talk It Out New counseling services a joint U of A and TUSD program

*TUSD students, parents, guardians, and immediate family members, Talk It Out is currently booked through December 2020.  When you submit a request, you will be placed on a waitlist for counseling services.  Talk It Out staff will contact you when they begin scheduling appointments for January 2021.
