(In-Person) Active Parenting-The First Five years: Presented by Parent Aid

This 4-session series will help nurture your child with a "just right combination" of freedom and positive discipline. Learn about your child's development and growing brain, preventing tantrums and other problems, and using mindfulness to keep calm. You will also learn ways to prepare your child for school success. Are you in need of a car seat? Are you an expecting mother or a parent/guardian with an infant or small child? This is an excellent opportunity to join us for our upcoming Car Seat class. Parents or guardians of TUSD registered students that attend the course will receive a free car seat! This class is for expecting mothers and parents/guardians with a child up to 100lbs. Parents/guardians must attend the class to receive the car seat. People who arrive late will be asked to reschedule. You must call the Catalina or Palo Verde Resource Center to register.

Discover new and easy recipes to cook healthy meals for your family using the items in the food boxes provided by the Family Resource Center food pantries. Classes and workshops for parents, guardians, and community members

Tucson Unified's Family Resource Centers offer a wide variety of classes and workshops to parents, guardians and community members to help strengthen Tucson Unified families by providing education and resources. Topics include child development, academics, health and nutrition, safety, parenting, college readiness, district and community resources, and more. We believe that stronger families make stronger students, and strong students will contribute to a stronger community overall. Each of the Family Resource Centers offers a monthly calendar of classes and workshops.
