Government Support

  • Arizona Department of Economic Security: Department of Developmental Disabilities
    Provides respite care, day, and after school programs to children and adults with autism, cognitive impairments, and cerebal palsy. Phone and online.
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
    Income from the Social Security Administration provided to families of some children with visual impairments. Depends on qualifying condition and family income. Phone or online.
  • Vocational Rehabilitation
    For High School students and adults: College and career placement/training, technology, daily living skills. Check the "Specialized Programs and Services" link. Your child's vision teacher will assist with this process when he/she enters high school. Located in Tucson.
